 AIMS

AIMS (Accounting Information and Management System) is a user-friendly software system designed to meet the accounting and information needs of distribution, manufacturing, service, rental and construction companies.

AIMS includes the following modules:

Order Entry & Invoicing Accounts Receivable Job Costing
Sales Analysis Accounts Payable Manufacturing
Inventory Control General Ledger Rental Billing
Purchasing Payroll Service Order
Quotations Fixed Assets Contact Manager

Each AIMS module can operate ‘stand alone’ or fully integrate with the others. The system supports multiple companies, multiple branches / inventory locations and multiple buying and selling currencies.

AIMS is a true multi-user system. It uses a central file to define system options like whether multiple currencies are to be used or the number of decimal positions for pricing (up to four) and inventory quantities (up to three). As a result, this central file gives users the ability to tailor the system to their liking.

The AIMS system includes security to ensure users have access to only the functions they require. For example, you may be able to enter journal entries but not have access to print company financial statements. Each module includes utility options which allow changing, inactivating or merging master codes (e.g. customers, items, assets, employees). As well, module dashboards are available to reduce management’s time to manage.

AIMS is owned and developed by WCS. It has been developed consistently with the input of customers to make it the most user-friendly software in the industry. WCS is committed to enhancing the functionality of AIMS through developing new versions and additional modules to complement the system.

In addition to providing the AIMS software product we also offer installation, training and account management services as well as telephone hot-line support and programming modifications.

AIMS operates on Red Hat Linux or Microsoft Windows servers and each license includes computer source code.

 What's New?
AIMS Handheld

AIMS Handheld allows picking, issuing and inventory counting all through handheld devices.

Pick slips are pulled into the handheld, pickers then scan items and enter quantity picked. This information is then transferred back to the AIMS system for packing slip generation. Handhelds can also issue material to service orders or manufacturing workorders and collect physical count information. Currently only Symbol hardware is supported and development is underway to further enhance this module.

AIMS E-Commerce Data Transfer

AIMS E-Commerce data transfer passes data between your AIMS system and an E-Commerce shopping site. Data transferred includes inventory items and pricing from the AIMS server to the E-Commerce server and online orders from the E-Commerce server back to AIMS.

You can also pass customer, ship-to, shipping and sales history data from AIMS to the E-Commerce server.

AIMS Data Warehousing

AIMS Data Warehousing pushes your AIMS data to a true SQL database on a routine basis (say nightly). From there you can extract using common reporting tools like Crystal Reports, Excel and Access, or write your own program with C#, Visual Basic or any other SQL language.

Your AIMS data can be pushed to either MS SQL Server or the Firebird database and AIMS Data Warehousing includes pre-defined sales analysis and job costing views along with a great pivot writer.
